The Laurens County SAFE Home operates an emergency shelter for victims and their dependent children in Laurens, Abbeville and Saluda Counties. Our shelter program offers a safe environment for our clients to begin their journey to a life free from domestic violence.
An order of protection is a document issued by Family Court to help protect you from an intimate partner who is harassing and abusive. An intimate partner can be a spouse, former spouse, persons who have a child in common or a male and female who are cohabiting or formerly cohabited.
Advocacy allows clients to begin to have a voice in the next steps of their journey. Advocacy for services will allow for their needed healing to over come the scars left behind due to the abuse they have suffered.
The effects of Domestic Violence stretch wide and deep. When you say “Yes” to partnering with the Safe Home, you say “No” to the damaging ripple of Domestic Violence.
