It is the mission of the Safe Home to help Domestic Violence victims to make behavioral and attitudinal changes necessary to live a life free of Domestic Violence. Our services are designed to accomplish this mission. A variety of services are provided to both clients staying in our shelter as well as those who are able to remain in their own home.

Emergency shelter

The Laurens County SAFE Home operates an emergency shelter for victims and their dependent children in Laurens,  Abbeville and Saluda Counties.  Our shelter program offers a safe environment for our clients to begin their journey to a life free from domestic violence.  

Order of Protection

An order of protection is a document issued by Family Court to help protect you from an intimate partner who is harassing and abusive. An intimate partner can be a spouse, former spouse, persons who have a child in common An intimate partner can be a spouse, former spouse, persons who have a child in common or who are cohabiting or formerly cohabited  and have been in an intimate relationship.

Advocacy

Advocacy allows clients to begin to have a voice in the next steps of their journey. Advocacy for services will allow for their needed healing to over come the scars left behind due to the abuse they have suffered.
